Created by educator, author, and mental health advocate Dr. Jodi Richardson, this 70-card deck is a practical, evidence-informed resource for parents and carers supporting children and teens with anxiety; from everyday worries through to more persistent or diagnosed anxiety.
For the moments when you just don't know how to help.
You’ve noticed the worries.
- The clinginess.
- The panic.
- The outbursts.
- Or maybe just a quiet withdrawal.
You’ve tried to help. You’ve offered reassurance, encouragement, maybe even reminders of past successes. But nothing seems to ease their distress.
You love your child deeply. You want to support them. You just don’t always know how.
These cards are here for those moments; when anxiety takes over, and your mind goes blank. When you need calm, clarity, and a gentle next step.
More than just cards.
It’s a calm you can carry.
This evidence-informed deck is grouped into five easy-to-use sets:
Understanding Anxiety - how it works in the brain and body
Signs & Symptoms - thoughts, feelings, behaviours and physical cues to watch for
Management Strategies - in-the-moment calming techniques that work
Ways You Can Help - gentle guidance for parents, carers and educators
How I Can Help - links to extra support, including books and podcast episodes
Use these cards on your own, with your child, or alongside a health professional. Each one is designed to make sense of anxiety, and what to do next.
"
I don’t experience anxiety myself, so when my daughter was in full meltdown, I found it hard to relate and comfort her, and even harder to know how to help. I often froze or said the wrong thing, just trying to calm her.
These cards have given me the language, the tools and the confidence to support her without adding to the overwhelm.”
~ Clare, mum of three
Hi, I’m Dr. Jodi
From my hands to yours.
I’m an educator, author, and mental health advocate with a passion for helping children and families thrive. I’ve lived with anxiety for most of my life, and I know how confusing, exhausting and isolating it can feel, both for the person experiencing it, and for the people who love them.
Over the past two decades, I’ve worked with families, schools and professionals, written two books on anxiety, and hosted a podcast dedicated to understanding and managing it. These cards bring together everything I’ve learned, through study, teaching and lived experience.
They’re designed to give you practical support, grounded in science and delivered with compassion, so you can help your child feel safe, understood, and empowered to face their fears.
